Helvetius

Helvetius — governance and custody in assisted human reproduction

Governance & custody

AI-based system for the comprehensive management of assisted reproduction clinics. Security and verifiable custody of biological material. The fixed point around which everything orbits.

The name

Helvetios is the name Swiss astronomers gave to the first star like our Sun around which another world was found. From it came Helvetius. Every system needs a fixed point — a steady reference, so that everything else can orbit around it safely.

The method

The center is the material, tracked over time

Almost every clinical system revolves around the patient or the treatment cycle. Helvetius chooses a different center: the biological material and its history. An egg, a semen sample, an embryo — each carries the heritage of real people and the possibility of a family. Clinic, laboratory, regulation and finance all hang from that thread. The promise is a single one: verifiable custody.

Immutable chain

Every step the material goes through becomes an event. No editing, no deleting: to correct is to record a new correction, in plain view of everyone.

Hash-chained

Each item carries its own timeline, chained so that any tampering breaks the chain at the exact point it was attempted.

Double witness

Every critical handling calls for a second pair of eyes. The witness is not a stamp added at the end; it is recorded together with the act.

Principles

Lines that are never crossed

01

One person, one identity. A human being is a single line, guaranteed by document and by an audited merge. No one is registered twice; when two records were the same person, they become one, and the trace remains.

02

A role is a relationship, not a label. Patient, donor, recipient, surrogate — none of these is a fixed trait of a person. It is a bond with a treatment, at a moment. The same woman may be a patient in one journey and a donor in another.

03

Origin is proven, not presumed. With donor gametes, the genetic origin is not the person who receives it. It is fixed at creation, and it is against it that the witness cross-checks, at the bench, to prevent a mix-up.

04

History is not rewritten. An event is never erased. It is corrected on top, in plain view of everyone. The past does not vanish; it becomes clearer.

05

No one moves material alone. Every critical handling requires a second pair of eyes, recorded together with the act — not as a signature at the end.

06

Security is not added later. It is the shape of the system from the very first line. It is the attribute a clinic cannot afford to get wrong.

Who it's for

Assisted reproduction clinics

Helvetius is built for those who hold biological material and answer for it: assisted reproduction (IVF) clinics and laboratories. When a family, an expert or the health authority asks what happened to each material, the answer must be whole and verifiable. That is the work.

Vision · current status

Under construction, in plain view

Helvetius is being built the way a cathedral is raised: the foundation first, then stone by stone. A core that is the single source of truth about every person and every material, with modules growing around it. There are no promises here of features that do not yet exist, nor seals not yet earned. There is a method, a direction and discipline. If this resonates with your clinic, get in touch: you can follow along closely as the system takes shape.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

What is Helvetius?

An AI-based system for the comprehensive management of assisted reproduction clinics, organized around the biological material and its history — not the record or the cycle. At its center, security and verifiable custody: being able to demonstrate, event by event, what happened to each material.

What is verifiable custody?

It is the difference between claiming you took care and being able to prove it. Each material carries an immutable timeline, hash-chained, with double witnessing at critical handlings. Any tampering breaks the chain at the exact point it was attempted.

Who is Helvetius for?

For assisted reproduction (IVF) clinics and laboratories that hold biological material and answer for it before patients, experts and the health authority.

Is Helvetius available yet?

Not yet. The system is under construction, built module by module around a core. This page presents the vision and the method; the invitation is to follow along and talk to us.
